We believe every child deserves the chance to discover the joy of reading and the power it holds to transform lives.
We exist to support underprivileged children who face the daily pressures of street hawking, menial labour and financial hardship.
We help them build strong literacy skills, confidence and a lasting love for learning by providing safe spaces, access to books and innovative programs that reward progress and spark curiosity...

How We Make Change
What We Do
At Read To Greatness Literacy Foundation, we help children ages 8 to 16 rediscover the joy of reading and the opportunities it brings.
Many of these children face challenges that keep them out of school or push them into street hawking. Our program gives them a safe, supportive alternative and a chance to build brighter futures.
How Our Program Works
We provide children with engaging age-appropriate books that spark curiosity, imagination and development.
Children gather in a welcoming environment where they can focus, learn and feel valued.
Children receive financial rewards based on the length and complexity of each completed book; encouraging consistency, focus and measurable progress.
All incentives are deposited safely through accountable systems to ensure transparency and parental oversight.
We recognise that a hungry child cannot learn effectively. Nourishing meals are provided to help children stay focused, energised and engaged, ensuring their minds and bodies are equally cared for.
Beyond the incentives, our true goal is to ignite a lifelong passion for learning. Reading helps children build confidence and knowledge of possibilities for their future.
We involve parents, guardians and local leaders so that reading becomes a shared value within the community, not just an individual activity.

For as long as I can remember, I have carried a deep ache whenever I saw children hawking on the streets. They were too young to be exposed to danger, accidents or exploitation.
Yet, day after day, they walked roads they should never have had to. It pained me to think of children traded between home and the streets, with childhood slipping through their fingers...
